Having approved body cameras for its police officers in the 2019 budget, the Glencoe City Council will host a public hearing on a proposed policy governing the department’s use of the technology.
The city council will host a public hearing on the proposed policy Jan. 7, 7 p.m.
“This policy is intended to provide officers with instruction on when and how to use body worn cameras (BWCs) so that they may reliably record their contacts with the public in accordance with the law,” the policy states.
