Barbara “Bobbie” Heidemann, 72, of Plato, formerly of Shakopee, passed away Wednesday, July 24, at Friendship Manor in Shakopee.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, Aug. 3, 11 a.m., at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Helen Township, rural Glencoe, with interment following in the church cemetery.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 10 to 11 a.m., one hour prior to the service, at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church.

The Plato Board of Adjustments has scheduled a Public Hearing on Thursday, August 8, 2019 at 7 p.m. at the Plato Community Building.
The purpose of this meeting is to hear all comments regarding a residential property corner lot requesting a variance in front yard dimensions smaller than current zoning ordinance requires. Address of the lot is 113 2nd Avneue NE.

7:00 P.M.

Vice President Milan Alexander called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. in Mayor Wilson’s absence. Members present: Neid, Schrupp, Robeck, Lemke and Alexander. Also present: City Administrator Mark Larson, Finance Director Trippel, Assistant City Administrator Ehrke, PWDs Schreifels and Voigt, Fire Chief Scheidt and Police Chief Raiter.
Mayor Wilson and City Attorney Ostlund were absent.

Commissioners Nagel, Pohlmeier, Krueger, Shimanski and Wright were present.
Board Chair, Joe Nagel, called for a moment of silence in recognition of the North Air flight crew, including a McLeod County resident and former McLeod County employee, who suffered great tragedy this week.
The County Board of Commissioners recognized the McLeod County Safety Committee as recipients of the 2018 Governor’s Safety Award of Meritorious Achievement Award in Occupational Safety.
