After a closed session at its monthly meeting Monday, March 28, the Glencoe Light and Power Board gave its blessing for ongoing negotiations on the shuttered lumberyard property.
The board’s approval allows Dave Meyer, Glencoe Light and Power’s general manager, to continue negotiations on acquisition of the 1.3-acre property on the 1100 block of North DeSoto Avenue and its two buildings. He expects the purchase will be finalized by the utility board’s meeting April 25. At that point, the sale price will be made public, he said.
