Ruth Schrupp, 88, of Norwood Young America, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 2, at The Haven at Peace Village in Norwood Young America.
A private family graveside service will be held at St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery in Norwood Young America.

Harold A. Kiecker, 77, of East Lake Lillian Township, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 1, at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis.
A graveside funeral service will be held Monday, Dec. 7, 2 p.m., at Peace Lutheran Cemetery in Cosmos.
Visitation will be held Monday, Dec. 7, noon to 2 p.m., as walk-up style through the glass of the west foyer at Peace Lutheran Church in Cosmos. Memorials preferred.
Masks are required and social distancing guidelines will be followed.

The annual community Thanksgiving meal was prepared at First Congregational Church in Glencoe looked a little different this year than the previous 19 years the event has been held. While an indoor sit-down meal was not possible, volunteers turned the annual event into a drive through. The event sponsored by First Congregational Church, Christ Lutheran and Good Shepherd churches in Glencoe, served over 175 meals and took in more than $2,000 to the McLeod Emergency Food Shelf. Eli Kuehn (above) delivered meals directly to a waiting recipient of a holiday meal.

GSL’s Mitchel Klockmann (32) and his teammates won’t be able to return to the court until later this month. Depending on the rate of the continued spread of COVID-19, the Panthers may have to wait until January to start their season.

Samantha Hussong and her son, Gabe, worked on installing Christmas lights on a tree in the front yard of the family home on North Louden Avenue Saturday afternoon. With temperatures in the low-50s, the job was easy. Many homeowners in Glencoe took advantage of the mild afternoon to complete the task before plunging temps and chilly winds blew through town.
