David Albert Horejsi, 79, of Silver Lake, passed away Sept. 28.
Visitation was held Thursday, Oct. 1, 5 to 7 p.m., with rosary at 6 p.m., at Maresh Funeral Home in Silver Lake, and Friday, Oct. 2, 10 a.m., also at Maresh Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial took place Friday, Oct. 2, 11 a.m., at Holy Family Catholic Church in Silver Lake. Interment with military honors followed the Mass at Holy Family Catholic Cemetery in Silver Lake. The Rev. John Hayes was the celebrant. Casket-bearers were members of the Silver Lake Legion Post No. 141.


Avis Posusta, 85, of Silver Lake

Avis Dorothy Posusta, 85, of Silver Lake, passed away Oct. 1, at her residence.
Visitation will be held Thursday, Oct. 8, 9 a.m., at Maresh Funeral Home in Silver Lake. A memorial Mass of Christian burial will follow at 11 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church in Silver Lake with inurnment at Holy Family Cemetery. The Rev. John Hayes will be the celebrant. Urn-bearers will be Bryan Posusta and Candace Pierson.
Avis was born Oct. 2, 1934, in Hutchinson Township, to Joseph and Dorothy (Telecky) Reml. She was baptized and confirmed in the Catholic faith.

Martha “Martie” Elizabeth Wendolek, 73, of Silver Lake, passed away peacefully Wednesday, Sept. 30, at Hutchinson hospital surrounded by family.
Visitation was held Tuesday, Oct. 6, 9 a.m. to noon, at Maresh Funeral Home in Silver Lake. A memorial Mass of Christian burial was held Tuesday, Oct. 6, 12:30 p.m., at Holy Family Catholic Church in Silver Lake.


Neal Noll, 86, of St. Anthony

Neal “Beef” Noll, 86, of St. Anthony, formerly of Glencoe, died Sept. 28, in Roseville, from kidney failure.
Due to COVID, services will be private for immediate family, with funeral Mass in Columbia Heights, and burial in Big Stone City, S.D.
“Beef” was born Dec. 27, 1933, at home in Big Stone City, S.D., to Ralph and Agnes Noll. He was the youngest of three children and acquired his nickname from school friends at Big Stone public school where he graduated in 1951. Following high school he worked for the railroad until entering the Army in 1954.
