Lavilla Emma Ida (Schoenke) Schmalz, 94, of Lester Prairie, passed away Monday, May 25, at GlenFields Living with Care in Glencoe.
A private, family graveside service was held at St. Peter Lutheran Church Cemetery in Lester Prairie.
Pastor Joshua Arndt was the officiating clergy.
“Great Is Thy Faithfulness,” “Jesus Loves Me,” “Praise To The Lord, The Almighty” and “Praise God From Whom All Blessings Flow” was the special music.

Lawrence George “Larry” Ardolf, 84, of rural Lester Prairie, passed away April 28, with his loving family by his side.
A Mass of Christian burial for Lawrence G. “Larry” Ardolf will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church in Silver Lake Friday, June 12, 11 a.m.
A visitation will be held at the Maresh Funeral Home Thursday, June 11, 4 to 8 p.m. Further visitation will be held Friday morning, 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., at the funeral home.

A public visitation will held 5 to 7 p.m., Monday, June 1, at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Home, 5421 Royal Place NW, Rochester. A private family service will be held Tuesday, June 2, at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Home with Pastor Pete Wyttenbach officiating. Those in attendance are required to wear masks and social distance in guidance to COVID-19 regulations.
