GSL girls fall to Tri-City

It wasn’t the kind of start to the season that the Glencoe-Silver Lake girls’ basketball team had hoped for. The Panthers lost a home opener for the first time since 2015, dropping a 79-68 decision to visiting Tri-City United.
The Titans led nearly from the start, and held a 37-27 edge on the hosts at halftime. TCU increased its advantage to 13 points early in the second half before the Panthers rallied.

Panthers smash Titans

There was very little doubt about it as the Glencoe-Silver Lake boys’ basketball team resoundingly won its season opener on Friday, Nov. 30.
The Panthers made it three wins in four tries against Tri-City United, scorching the visiting Titans 86-33 in the second game of a boys’/girls’ doubleheader.
After briefly trailing in the opening moments, GSL poured it on the visitors to lead 52-24 by halftime.

Grapplers sixth in Invite

The Glencoe-Silver Lake/Lester Prairie wrestling team opened the 2018 season by hosting the annual Don Hall Invitational at GSL on Saturday, Dec. 1.
