35 attend local workshop on soil, bee colony issues

On April 1, a beautiful sunny Saturday, 35 people chose to stay indoors at the Glencoe City Center to participate in a four-hour workshop on Soil Regeneration and Restoring Health to Animals, Bee Colonies and the Human Gut.
The workshop presenter, Dr. Wil Spencer, raised on a Brainard farm, spoke eloquently about the need for a broad spectrum of minerals and beneficial microbes in soil, animals, bee hives and human nutrition.
Audience interaction was high throughout the meeting. Many people raised questions about allergens, diet, disease, growing conditions, viruses, super viruses and the solutions for these problems. Dr. Spencer took many questions and explained the importance of microbes in sustaining health in all life. He and other leaders of the event commented on how much more advanced this audience was than what would be expected at a community workshop such as this.
The attendance on Saturday was higher than expected and the meeting was a great success in terms of group learning and awareness of soil, plant, animal and human health. The turnout was three times larger than workshops held in southern Minnesota.
Dr. Spencer is an internationally recognized authority on soil microbes and their use in regenerating soil and restoring the human gut. He imports microbes now extinct in the U.S. into his West Virginia laboratory and produces products there for human, animal, bee and soil usage.
Local resident of Glencoe, Terry Morse, doctor of natural medicine, organized the event as part of her mission to bring 21st century technologies and advanced health information into Minnesota rural communities. A native of Minnesota, she returned to the state in 2012 after retiring from her Louisiana practice.
Workshop follow-up discussions on Dr. Spencer’s book and video are planned to help farmers and local residents understand and integrate these effective methods into their lives and farming practices.
