4 file for 3 seats on Glencoe City Council
Four candidates have filed for three open seats on the Glencoe City Council as of Tuesday morning.
Current Councilor At-Large Al Robeck has filed for re-election. Mike Drew has also filed to run for the open seat on the council.
Council member John Schrupp has filed for re-election in precinct two.
Paul Lemke has filed to run for the council position in the third precinct. The seat is currently held by Gary Ziemer.
No one has filed for the three open seats on the Glencoe-Silver Lake School Board. The positions are currently held by Anne Twiss, Clark Christenson and Jason Lindeman.
In Brownton, Mayor Norm Schwartz has filed for re-election for a two-year term. Doug Block has also filed for re-election for a four-year council seat. No one has filed for a two- and four-year term that are open.
No one has filed for the two-year mayor position or two four-year council positions in Stewart.
Chris Penaz has filed for one of two open four-year terms on the city council in Silver Lake. There have been no filings for the two-year mayor term.
Doug Munch has filed for re-election for the two-year mayor term that he currently holds in New Auburn. No filings have been received for the two four-year council positions.
Plato has a two-year mayor term and two four-year council terms open.
The filing period closes on Tuesday, Aug. 14.
