4-H club collecting jeans

The Glencoe Junior Pioneers will be collecting jeans for donations to different organizations as a community service project.
Jeans can be dropped off through June 3 at the boxes located in the Panther Field House, Glencoe Library and McLeod County Extension office.
Any denim item can be donated including jeans, jackets, shirts and skirts and all sizes will be accepted.
The jeans will go to the organizations Teens for Jeans, Sole Hope and Blue Jeans Go Green. Teens for Jeans is an organization that collects good quality jeans for young people experiencing homelessness in the U.S. Sole Hope makes shoes out of jeans to provide relief for  foot-related diseases in Uganda. Blue Jeans Go Green uses old denim to create insulation and keep textile waste out of landfills.
