After commission backs plan, city council puts brakes on short-term rental housing
Despite an approval from the Glencoe Planning Commission, the city council put a request for a special use permit on hold until it had time to review the plan.
The council voted Monday, March 18, to table Fred Werth’s request for a special-use permit to transform a soon-to-be former dentist’s office at 1015 North Greeley Ave. into a two- or three-bedroom residential rental property. The property is in a business zone and short-term residential use of it is OK with a special-use permit, City Attorney Mark Ostlund told the council.
