Albany Huskies blank GSL Panthers, 35-0

On the Panthers’ second road trip in as many weeks, they fell to the Albany Huskies by a score of 35-0. The Panthers turn the win-loss ratio to 2-2 with their two wins coming at home and their two losses on the road.
The Huskies moved their offense with force early in the game, scoring 21 of their points in the first quarter to send an early message. Fourteen of those points came so early, fans were still getting situated and finding their seats.
“What happened?” and “How did they already score 14?” was uttered more than once in the host bleachers as applause echoed throughout the stadium. Elementary and middle schoolers playing pick-up football on the track behind the end zone would stop mid-play to watch the atypical Albany offense work.
The 11 on the Albany offense, after communicating the play-call, collectively sprint to the line and get set as fast as possible. The quarterback’s hands are under center as fast as the center can get his hand on the ball.
The Panthers totaled 39 plays of offense, six first downs and three penalties for 25 yards. The Huskies went for 66 plays total offense, 14 first downs and seven penalties for 45 yards.
