Blue Jays return home this week

After playing on the road for more than six weeks, the Plato Blue Jays are scheduled to migrate home this weekend.

Plato, which has not graced Bluejay Stadium since topping St. Boni 13-0 in the season opener on May 7, is slated to host Young America at 5 p.m. Sunday.

 The contest begins a stretch that sees the Blue Jays at home for seven of the final 10 games of the regular season. Plato also is tabbed to host Brownton on Wednesday, June 28.

Last week opened with Plato dropping a heartbreaker 13-8 at Green Isle in a battle of Crow River Valley League heavyweights.

Kyle Panning led off the game with a home run off Irish starter – and former Blue Jay – Cody Hallahan.
