Boosters appreciate support, donations

On behalf of the GSL Booster Club, I would like to thank the local communities for your continued support. Without generous business and personal donations of money, supplies and time, we would not be able to support our GSL district activities. 
 
The boosters support not only the athletic activities, but all extracurricular activities for grades seven through 12.  In the 2014-2015 school year, this organization donated $27,228.89 to activities including band, soccer, volleyball, softball, track, football, tennis, cross country, basketball, and Close Up. Donations are based on needs of the group that are beyond what the school is able to provide.
 
The boosters also pay a large portion of the trainer fees each year, a portion of all the background checks that need to be done for every volunteer at the school, and also help defray costs for teams that attended the respective state tournaments and  also host the senior awards banquet every spring.
 
This year, the Booster Club is sponsoring a 5K Colorathon Sept. 26; please come join us and have a fun time.  The concession stand at all activities is also part of the Booster Club, as well as the clothing purchases made from the school website, so thank you to those supporters.
The annual Booster Club Tailgate party will be Sept. 11 serving pork chops from 5:30 p.m. until gone at  the football field; please join us.
