With business hanging in the balance, Mirman has two weeks

In a rare bout of disagreement, the McLeod County Board of Commissioners discussed an allegedly breached conditional use permit (CUP) issued to Lev Mirman of Plato. The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency has an open investigation pending against Mirman for illegally disposing of wastewater and cooking oil, but Mirman has also been violating the terms of his conditional use permit from the county.
Mirman, who operates an oil recycling business on his property, said a suspension to his CUP would be detrimental to his work. Of the 200 businesses he caters to in the Twin Cities, most of them would need to find elsewhere to dispose of cooking oil, leaving Mirman without any business.
