Busy week for boys' golfers

It was a chilly afternoon at Glencoe Country Club on Thursday, April 20, as the Glencoe-Silver Lake boys’ golf team hosted an 18-role invitational meet. 
The Panthers finished fourth overall with a team score of 404, led by Jayden Lachermeier’s 96. Christian Higgins and Reid VanHove each scored a 99, with Ethan Wraspir posting a 110, Damien Silus a 111 and Nick Schmidt a 117.
The invitational followed GSL’s second Wright County Conference West meet, which took place at Little Crow Country Club in New London on Monday, April 17.
Led by Wraspir’s nine-hole card of 48, the Panthers finished eighth with a team score of 198. 
Higgins and VanHove each posted a 49, with Lachermeier scoring a 52, Schmidt a 59 and Silus a 60.
GSL placed 16th in an invitational meet on Monday, April 24, at Burl Oaks Golf Club. 
Higgins shot a 98 over 18 holes, followed by VanHove at 99. Lachermeier recorded a 104, Silus a 108, Wraspir a 121 and Schmidt a 125. 
The Panthers are scheduled to play in the fourth conference meet on Thursday at Litchfield Golf Course and take part in an invitational meet at Crow River Golf Club in Hutchinson on Friday.
