CC Boys take first, girls second at Watertown-Mayer Invitational
The cross-country meet that took place Tuesday, Oct. 8 was a good one for Glencoe-Silver Lake boys and girls runners as the boys took first place and the girls took second.
The meet, at Watertown-Mayer High School, only saw three teams competing: the Panthers, Mound Westonka and Watertown-Mayer.
Jeff Delwiche, GSL’s boys cross-country head coach, said even though there weren’t a lot of teams to compete against, the Panthers boys and girls runners were happy with their finishes individually and as a team. The boys took first overall with an average time of 18 minutes and 59 seconds with seven total runners.
