Christensen returns to GSL girls’ hoopsters
A split of last week’s pair of games has the Glencoe-Silver Lake girls’ basketball team entering February with a 10-9 overall record.
Even better news is that the Panthers are also entering their final seven-game stretch of the regular season with the services of forward Zoe Christensen.
Christensen made her season debut in a 46-43 win over visiting Dassel-Cokato on Friday, Jan. 29, scoring six points with five rebounds in 17 minutes of play.
“We had her out there a little longer than we would’ve liked,” coach Zach Otto-Fisher said. “But it was good to have her back and she was so happy to be back. It’s been a haul for her.”
The victory halted a two-game losing streak and prevented GSL from dropping below .500 for the first time since mid-December.
