NOTICE OF HEARING ON
IMPROVEMENT
TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:
Notice is hereby given that the city council of the City of Brownton, Minnesota, will meet at the Brownton City Hall, 335 3rd Street South, at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 2, 2019, to consider the making of an improvement, described as 2019 Street Improvement Project, on the following streets:
• 4th Street S from 5th Avenue S to 6th Avenue S (gravel with curb and gutter)
• 4th Street S from 6th Avenue S to 8th Avenue S (bituminous with curb and gutter)
• 1st Avenue S from south City limits to 3rd Street S (bituminous, partial curb and gutter)
• 1st Avenue N from Division Street to 2nd Street N (gravel, no curb and gutter)
• 9th Avenue N from Alley to 2nd Street N (gravel with curb and gutter)
Improvements will include but not be limited to construction of bituminous street surfacing, pavement reclamation, minor drainage improvements, limited replacement of concrete curb and gutter, and miscellaneous items required to properly complete the improvements, pursuant to Minnesota Statutes §§ 429.011 to 429.111.
The area proposed to be assessed for such improvement includes properties abutting such improvements and properties for which benefit can be attributed.
The estimated cost of the improvement is $312,000. A reasonable estimate of the impact of the assessment will be available at the hearing. Such persons as desire to be heard with reference to the proposed improvement will be heard at this meeting.
