City Council updated on possible housing development plans
The Glencoe City Council heard a brief economic development update by Assistant Administrator Dan Ehrke at its Tuesday, Jan. 16, meeting.
The developing company which originally wanted to build a two-phase apartment complex at the Helen Baker Elementary school site is currently in the midst of evaluating other potential sites in Glencoe.
“We’re working with Justin’s (Black of Short, Elliott Hendrickson, Inc.) team on one particular site that we think has potential,” said Ehrke.
Ehrke and SEH hope to have something in front of the Planning Commission and the City Council by late winter or early spring.
“We are excited to have them back at the table,” said Ehrke.
