City rejects planning commission’s North Greeley plan

After a late petition drive aimed at a planning commission recommendation the Glencoe City Council should consider switching North Greeley Avenue from one way traffic to two ways, the council decided Monday evening, May 6, it’s not even willing to discuss the proposal.
The city council voted 3-2 against holding a public hearing on the proposal and 4-1 against further consideration of the idea. Councilors Allen Robeck, Milan Alexander and John Schrupp opposed scheduling a public hearing. Councilors Cory Neid and Paul Lemke supported holding the public hearing. Mayor Randy Wilson, who did not vote in this issue, also supported holding a public hearing.
