NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
on
APPROVAL OF PROPERTY TAX ABATEMENT AND
BUSINESS SUBSIDY FOR MILLER MANUFACTURING COMPANY

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Glencoe, Minnesota, will hold a public hearing on Monday, October 21, 2019 at approximately 7:00 p.m., at the Glencoe City Hall/Community Center located at 1107 11th Street East in the City of Glencoe, Minnesota. The purpose of the public hearing is to receive public comment regarding the use of property tax abatement for the purpose of funding soil correction costs for the Miller Manufacturing Company Expansion Project, pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Section 469.1812 to 469.1815, inclusive, as amended. The annual amount of tax abatement will not exceed $12,989 per year and will be provided over a period of up to 15-years commencing with taxes payable 2022. The following tax parcel is proposed to be included in the proposed tax abatement:

Parcel I.D. – 22.077.0370

Copies of the abatement resolution and business subsidy agreement as proposed to be adopted will be on file and available for public inspection at the office of the City Administrator at Glencoe City Hall. There are no job creation goals for the proposed business subsidy.

A person with residence in, or the owner of taxable property in the City of Glencoe may file a written complaint with the City of Glencoe if the City of Glencoe fails to comply with sections 116J.993 to 116J.995 of Minnesota Statutes, and no action may be filed against the City of Glencoe for the failure to comply unless a written complaint is filed.

All interested persons may appear at the hearing and present their view orally or in writing.
