City waiting on governor for summertime pool prospects
A popular summertime attraction in Glencoe is waiting on Gov. Tim Walz’s decision when public pools can open without possibly spreading the coronavirus.
And the clock is ticking toward a possible June 1 deadline.
City Administrator Mark Larson updated the city council during a workshop held virtually Monday, April 20. The city is waiting for the governor to allow it to open the Glencoe Aquatic Center. If the pool can’t be opened by June 1, it is questionable whether the facility is worth opening this year.
