Council nixes more talks on acquiring creamery property
At least for now, the city of Glencoe’s interest in acquiring the old Glencoe Creamery building has curdled after the city council decided against seeking additional information on a proposed acquisition in a closed-door meeting.
The meeting was intended to consider a proposal from North Central Companies of Minnetonka to acquire the building and property, possibly for redevelopment. It was part of the city council’s Feb. 18 agenda, a meeting held after The Chronicle’s Feb. 19 edition meeting went to press.
The discussion began with Robeck making a motion to “squash” the closed meeting, a motion that failed for lack of a second.
