Councilor wants to open city’s sidewalks to bikes

At a workshop Monday afternoon, Councilor Milan Alexander pitched the idea of nixing a city ordinance prohibiting a seldom-enforced ordinance prohibiting bicycles from being ridden on sidewalks. An ordinance passed in the late-1980s allows sidewalks to only be used by pedestrians.
