COVID-19 pandemic forces dental practices to change processes
Walking into the dentist’s office, checking in at the front desk and waiting in the lobby won’t be the norm for people in the foreseeable future as dental offices have reopened its doors.
Dental offices shut down for routine care in late March thanks to the COVID-19 pandemic. Many dentists were only available for emergency appointments for two months until they were allowed to reopen at the end of May. With this came many changes for everyone though.
“I would say we’re pretty much back to normal,” said Forever Smiles clinic manager in Glencoe Stacy Stotts. “We’re playing a lot of catch up, because we were shut down for two months, so we’re trying to get people back in, and with the way our building is set up, we can safely do that.”
