Donald Lee Colbrunn, 76, of Glencoe, died Saturday, Sept. 16, 2017, at his home. A private family memorial service will be held.
Donald Lee Colbrunn was born Jan. 11, 1941, in French Camp, California. He was the son of Irving and Zoria (Grubesic) Colbrunn. He graduated from Fontana High School with the class of 1959. He furthered his education at Moorhead Technical College, where he earned a culinary arts degree. He served in the U.S. Air Force and was honorably discharged on Feb. 16, 1962.
On May 26, 1962, he was united in marriage to Sandra Barrett in San Bernardino, California. The couple made their home in Edina,; Fargo, North Dakota; Park Rapids; Fontana, California; and most recently in Glencoe. Their marriage was blessed with three children, Cindy, Donna and Mike. the couple shared over 55 years of marriage.
Mr. Colbrunn worked at Eden Prairie High School in Eden Prairie as a food production manager. He was a member of the SEIU and SNA. He enjoyed fishing and road trips. He cherished the time spent with friends and family, especially his grandchildren, and attending their sporting events was his greatest joy.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra Colbrunn of Glencoe; children, Cindy Colbrunn of Glencoe, Donna (Dennis) Majeskie of Mundelein, Illinois, and Mike (Meri) Colbrunn of Mankato; grandchildren, Kyle Grogan, Cody and Austin Majeskie and Hailey, Vince and Sidney Colbrunn; siblings, Robert (Dee) Colbrunn of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, and Thomas (Kathy) Colbrunn of Fontana, California; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Irving and Zoria Colbrunn.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the American Lung Association, P.O. Box 7000, Albert Lea, MN 56007.
