ECFE open house
The Early Childhood Learning Center, the new addiiton onto the Lincoln Junior High School, held an open house on Friday, and the attendance by young families as well as the curious was impressive. ECFE/SE and Learning Readiness staff eagerly showed off their new rooms that were opened to students in early January. Above, teachers had an opportunity to talk with parents about how the rooms are being used, while youngsters got some hands-on experience, like Bentlee Ondrachek and his mother, Nicole, at right. There also were a bounce house and Jungle Gym set up in the school gym to help burn off some energy. GSL Supt. Chris Sonju said the attendance was “fantastic!” The place was always full, and it showcased the new flexibility the addition offers to programming, he added. “That’s what the whole building project was all about.”
