Girl Scouts paper drive

The Stewart-Brownton Girl Scouts will have a paper drive Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 25 and 26, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., in Stewart.
The trailer will be parked in the Cactus Jack’s II parking lot off Highway 212.
All types of paper are accepted; please sort the cardboard from the paper. Acceptable items include phone books, magazines, hardcover books (remove the covers), junk mail, corrugated cardboard, egg cartons and clean food boxes.

The Girl Scouts also are collecting recyclable items, including ink jet cartridges, bottle caps and aluminum cans. There is a trailer at the city shed on County Road 7 in Stewart to collect these items. They also may be dropped off at 221 Martha St. in Stewart, given to a Girl Scout, or call 320-562-2369 to arrange for pickup.
Proceeds benefit field trips and community service projects.
