Girls’ golfers have nice day at Litchfield
The Glencoe-Silver Lake girls’ golf team had its best 18-hole score of the season in the lair of the Dragon, recording a 394 over a pair of Wright County Conference West meets at Litchfield Golf Course on Tuesday, May 5.
Putting up a 195 as a team over the first nine-hole meet, the Panthers followed up with a 199 over the second meet and continue to hold onto third place in the WCC West overall standings.
GSL finished last week with a total eight-meet score of 1,596. That tally is 77 stokes behind conference-leading Litchfield (1,519), but just 15 strokes behind second-place Annandale (1,581).
Alexis Kerslake had her best day of the season at Litchfield, putting up an 87 overall with a 42 and a 45. Her average score of 45.17 strokes per meet is currently fourth-best in the conference.
