Glencoe eyeing street maintenance projects
Recognizing it doesn’t have the money readily available for expensive street improvement projects for years to come, the Glencoe City Council is considering a proposal to enact street maintenance projects to delay the seemingly inevitable street reconstruction projects.
At a workshop Monday afternoon, Oct. 14, representatives from Glencoe’s contract engineering firm, SEH Inc., presented a pavement management plan that includes an inventory of city streets in Glencoe and the ratings assigned to them indicating their condition and the level of surface maintenance work needed before more significant, invasive and expensive reconstruction work is needed.
