GSL baseball in final stretch

A 3-1 stretch last week gave the Glencoe-Silver Lake baseball team a 10-5 overall record heading into the final four-game sequence of the regular season.
The Panthers entered this week in second place in the Wright County Conference West standings with a 7-4 circuit mark, 3-1/2 games behind lead horse Litchfield.
GSL opened last week with a 10-0 shutout victory at Watertown-Mayer, despite logging just six hits.
Starting pitcher Korey Johnson earned the victory after giving up just two hits and two walks over six innings, while recording nine strikeouts. Ty Christensen pitched the seventh, allowing one hit with one strikeout.
