GSL boys lose to Jordan in 2AA North finale
For the fourth consecutive year, the Glencoe-Silver Lake and Jordan boys’ basketball teams met in the postseason when the squads met in the Section 2AA North subsection title game on Monday, March 13 in Mankato.
Unfortunately for GSL, the Hubmen came out on top for the second-straight occasion.
After thumping Tri-City United 64-43 in the subsection semifinals to make up for an earlier-season setback, the Panthers had the tables turned on them in the North finale.
Jordan made up for an earlier-season loss to the Panthers by winning the North championship 77-59, ending GSL’s season with a 17-12 record.
“Jordan had a lot to do with it not being our night,” coach Robb DeCorsey said. “They are a very good team, got to give them credit.”
