GSL Homecoming activities

The Glencoe-Silver Lake school district kicks off its homecoming week on Monday, Sept. 22.
This year’s theme is “Kick Mound to the Ground,” and includes a week of activities and dress-up days. 
On Monday, Sept. 22, students and staff can dress in college apparel, and on Tuesday, the dress-up day is “class color day.”
The class colors are: white-freshmen; purple-sophomores; gray-juniors; and black-seniors. Staff is to wear Panther colors or coordinate with their RAP (Reaching all Panthers) group.
On Wednesday, the dress-up theme is “Rock of Ages;” on Thursday, the dress-up day is “Inside-out” day, and Friday’s theme is “Panther pride.”
The homecoming coronation is Monday, Sept. 22, at 8 p.m., at the GSL high school auditorium.
On Friday, the pep fest begins at 2:20 p.m., and the homecoming parade begins at 5:30 p.m., at Helen Baker Elementary School, and will follow 16th Street to the high school.
The homecoming football game is Friday, Sept. 26, at 7p.m., against Mound-Westonka at Stevens Seminary Field.
