GSL summer food program starts June 6
The Glencoe-Silver Lake School District is participating in the Summer Food Service Program. GSL invites children to have a free meal.
Meals will be provided to all children birth to 18 without charge and will meet nutritional standards established by the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
In addition to offering free meals, the school district is offering numerous summer activities including Targeted Services Summer School, Extended School Year Summer School, enrichment classes and camps through community education, migrant summer school and the Panther Adventure Club.
Dates, locations and times of the Summer Food Program are:
Helen Baker Elementary school, June 6-July 14 (closed July 4), breakfast from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m., and lunch from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Lakeside Elementary School, June 6-July 14 (closed July 4), lunch from 11:15 a.m. to 11:45 a.m.
