GSL Trap takes final aim of ‘15
The Glencoe-Silver Lake trapshooting team concluded its season by competing in The Championship meet in Alexandria on Sunday, June 14.
The Panthers varsity placed fifth overall with 472 points. The GSL junior varsity was eighth with 423 points and the novice team came in 12th with 254 points.
Jake Mohr finished second in the varsity male competition by hitting 98 out of 100 targets. He also hit on 25 straight and 50 straight during the competition.
Brayden Goebel placed seventh in the male competition with 96 out of 100, also accomplishing a 25-straight shoot.
Austin Bernstein and Matthew Dahlke each accomplished a 25-straight shoot during Sunday’s competition.
Katie Collins led the Panther girls by hitting 88 out of 100 with a reverse gun of 6 to place third in the varsity contest.
Jessica Alsleben hit 88 out of 100 with a reverse gun of 3 to take fourth, with Morgan Bernstein taking ninth after hitting 80 out of 100.
