GSL/LP wrestlers split first matches in New Prague
The Glencoe-Silver Lake/Lester Prairie wrestling team got a good look at tough competition in its first triangular match of the season Thursday, Jan. 14 in New Prague.
The Panthers saw a big school powerhouse team that dominated the match and claimed a win.
GSL/LP didn’t leave New Prague without a win, however. The Panthers claimed a victory over Chaska-Chanhassen.
The Panthers won’t be back in competition until Thursday, Jan. 28, 6 p.m., at Maple River. The following night, Friday, Jan. 29, 5 p.m., GSL/LP will face Scott West and Little Falls in Belle Plaine. The Panthers will host their first match of the season Thursday, Feb. 4, 5 p.m., when Eden Prairie and Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted come to Glencoe.
