Injuries reported in area traffic accidents

A Winsted woman was injured in a two-vehicle crash on Highway 7 in Silver Lake on Wednesday, Dec. 27, at about 9:30 a.m.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a 2014 Ford Escape driven by Laura Ann Kaczmarek, 76, of Silver Lake, and a 2013 Kia Soul driven by Monica Mary Krueger, 60, of Winsted, were both eastbound on Highway 7. The Ford had slowed to make a turn onto Lane Avenue in Silver Lake when it was rear-ended by the Kia.
Krueger was transported by Silver Lake Ambulance to the Hutchinson Health Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. Kaczmarek was not injured. A passenger in the Ford, Paul Alan Davis, 46, of Silver Lake, suffered minor injuries but was not transported to a hospital.
Assisting at the accident were the Silver Lake Fire Department, Silver Lake Ambulance, Allina Ambulance and the McLeod County Sheriff’s Office.

Three people were injured in a two-vehicle collision in Renville County on Saturday, Dec. 23, according to the Renville County Sheriff’s Office. The accident was reported at 7:29 p.m. and occurred at the intersection of Renville County Roads 4 and 16, about seven miles southwest of the city of Hector.
Involved were a 2010 Pontiac G6 driven by Miguel Perez Lux, 29, of St. James, and a 2000 GMC Sierra driven by Dallas Gregory Stage, 26, of Vesta.
Neither Lux nor Stage were injured. There were three adult passengers and one juvenile passenger in Lux’s vehicle. Two of the adults and the juvenile were taken by ambulance to the Renville County Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
The accident is being investigated by the sheriff’s office. Assisting at the incident were the Fairfax Police Department, Fairfax Ambulance, Hector Police Department, Hector Ambulance, Hector Fire Department, Buffalo Lake Police Department, North Memorial Ambulance and the Minnesota State Patrol.
