Injury crash sends car toward Buffalo Creek

A two-vehicle crash at the junction of highways 212 and 22 in Glencoe sent two people to the hospital and one vehicle careening toward Buffalo Creek last Tuesday, Oct. 13. The crash occurred when a Toyota Camry and Ford F150 that was towing a trailer collided at the intersection just before 3 p.m. An Edina woman, Teresa Mee Yates, 27, and a girl, Lucia Mya Yates, 9, in the Toyota were transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to the Minnesota State Patrol. The driver of the Ford, Jay Dean Halbert, 54, of Cannon Falls, was not injured. The report did not indicate which vehicle was on Highway 212 and which vehicle was on Highway 22.
