Kurtzweg announces candidacy for county auditor-treasurer
Connie Kurtzweg, McLeod County’s interim auditor-treasurer, has announced her candidacy for auditor-treasurer.
Kurtzweg was appointed the interim auditor-treasurer when Cindy Schultz Ford was named as the new county administrator, and resigned the position of auditor-treasurer.
Kurtzweg has been employed for five years with McLeod County, working under the mentorship of Schultz Ford.
“This time has provided an opportunity for advanced knowledge and insight,” said Kurtzweg.
Kurtzweg has lived most of her life in McLeod County with her husband of 26 years, Kurt, and their daughter, Kayla. Previous employment in the accounting and human resources fields includes DuWayne Peterson & Co., Hutchinson Telephone Co. and Goebel Fixture Company.
“It is with the dedication to the public through accuracy and transparency in actions that I begin this campaign,” said Kurtzweg. “I would be honored to continue in 2019 to provide the citizens of McLeod County with the quality services of the profession of auditor-treasurer.”
