Leaf patrol
Glencoe Public Works staff recently began collecting leaves from streets throughout the city. The city’s vacuum trailer makes short work of large piles of leaves residents can leave curbside. Removing the leaves from the street is a popular service with property owners and keeps the city’s storm water drainage pipes from clogging during heavy rainfalls. Weather permitting, the leaf vacuum will be on the street until Nov. 22.
