Lions announce Music in the Park schedule

The Glencoe Lions have scheduled their 2018 Music in The Park events for four Wednesdays, beginning June 27.
This year, five local businesses have again stepped forward to help sponsor the entertainment expense at each event, which will be held at Oak Leaf Park, Shelter 2.
The schedule is as follows:
Wednesday, June 27 — Security Bank & Trust Co. will sponsor Allen and Matt Carlson, a father and son duo who share a passion for music, especially classic country, gospel and hymns that entertain audiences with positive, uplifting messages.
Wednesday, July 11 — Johnson-McBride Chapel is sponsoring Jim and Mike Wendolek featuring old-time favorites (and a few stories). These popular entertainers are returning for the seventh season.
Wednesday, July 18 — State Farm-Larry Anderson Insurance and McLeod Publishing, Inc., are sponsoring the Lonnie Carpenter Band from New Ulm. This band is a group of five talented musicians, who perform selections from gospel to early rock n’ roll and country western.
Wednesday, July 25 — First Minnesota Bank will sponsor Chuck and Jason Thiel with selections that are pleasing to all old-time and modern listeners. They also are returning for the seventh year.
The Glencoe Lions will be serving a hot sandwich meal at a nominal charge from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. at each event. All proceeds from the meal are donated to local community projects. The free musical entertainment will begin at 6:30 pm.
If businesses or individuals would like to donate door prizes, gift certificates or cash for any of the events, please contact Ron Dahlke at 320-864-5237. All donations will be acknowledged at each event.
Bring your chairs and bring your friends.
