Marlene Bruch, 84, of Arlington, died Tuesday, April 17, 2018, at the Arlington Good Samaritan Society.
Memorial services were held Friday, April 20, at Zion Lutheran Church in Green Isle Township, with interment in the church cemetery.
Marlene Bruch was born March 23, 1934, in Penn Township, McLeod County, to Martin and Hulda (Alsleben) Polzin. She was baptized April 8, 1934, by the Rev. W.E. Diemer and confirmed on April 25, 1948, by the Rev. J.H. Kolberg, both at St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church in Penn Township. She graduated from Glencoe High School on May 28, 1952. On May 17, 1957, she was married to Loren Bruch at St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church in Penn Township by the Rev. E.W.L. Lehne.
She and her husband farmed in Green Isle Township, and she also was employed in her earlier years as a telephone operator and later worked at Telex Corporation in Glencoe.
She liked to sew and travel. She enjoyed spending time with friends and family. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Ladies Aid and also taught Sunday school for many years.
She is survived by her children, Ronnie (Mary) Bruch of Glencoe, Timmy (Brenda) Bruch of Arlington and Tammy Bruch of Plymouth; grandchildren, Tim (Lacey) Schuette, Nathan (Vana) Bruch, Ashley (Bob) Segna, Joshua Bruch and Nicole (Spencer) Haggenmiller; great-grandchildren, Olivia Schuette, Logan Bruch, Hannah Bruch, Maxwell Segna, Mikayla Segna and Aubrey Haggenmiller.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Loren.
Arrangements were with the Kolden Funeral Home in Arlington.
