McLeod County Board approves 5 percent preliminary levy increase for 2021

The McLeod County Board reviewed the 2021 budget and looked at options of 1 to 6 percent levy increases at its Sept. 16 meeting.
After reviewing the options and effects to the fund balance, the board voted to approve a 5 percent preliminary 2021 levy increase. The total preliminary levy amount was set at $25,768,172 a $1,227,056 increase from 2020.
