NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING REGARDING THE APPROVAL OF A CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PLAN AND ISSUANCE OF BONDS PURSUANT TO
MINNESOTA STATUTES,
SECTIONS 373.40 AND 297A.993

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of Commissioners (the “Board”) of McLeod County, Minnesota (the “County”), will meet on October 22, 2019, at 9:00 o’clock A.M., at the Glencoe City Center, 1107 11th Street, Glencoe, Minnesota, for the purpose of conducting a public hearing on a proposal that the County (i) approve its Capital Improvement Plan (the “Plan”), including by the addition of certain transportation projects described therein (the “Transportation Projects”), all pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Sections 373.40 and 297A.993 and (ii) issue its general obligation capital improvement plan bonds (the “CIP Bonds”), in a principal amount not to exceed $4,000,000 pursuant to Section 373.40, to finance remaining costs of the McLeod County Government Center and other improvements described in the Plan and (iii) issue its general obligation transportation tax bonds (the “Transportation Tax Bonds”) in a principal amount not to exceed $6,000,000 pursuant to said Section 297A.993, all to finance all or a portion of the costs of the Transportation Projects.
A draft copy of the proposed Plan is available for public inspection at the office of the County Administrator, located in the McLeod County Courthouse, 830 11th St E. Ste 110 in the City of Glencoe, Minnesota, between the hours of 8:00 A.M. and 4:30 P.M., on normal County business days.
If a petition requesting a vote on the issuance of the CIP Bonds is signed by voters equal to five percent of the votes cast in the County at the last general election and filed with the County within thirty (30) days after the public hearing, the County may issue the CIP Bonds only after obtaining the approval of a majority of the voters voting on the question of issuing the CIP Bonds.
All persons interested may appear and be heard at the time and place set forth above, or may file written comments with the County Administrator prior to the date of the hearing set forth above.
