McLeod County resident diagnosed with COVID-19
The Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) confirmed a positive case of novel coronavirus, COVID-19, in McLeod County Friday, April 3, the county’s first case of the respiratory illness.
Minnesota Department of Health staff is conducting the case investigation. The county declined requests to identify the gender or approximate age of the person. Unless hospitalized, positive cases are isolated at home to prevent disease spread and the contact investigation identifies their close contacts. Close contacts are quarantined for 14 days from their exposure and monitored for fever and respiratory symptoms.
