Miranda Lickfelt, 31, of Hutchinson

Miranda Lickfelt, 31, of Hutchinson, died Thursday, Aug. 14, 2014, at her home.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Aug. 19, at Peace Lutheran Church in Hutchinson with the Rev. Gerhard Bode officiating.
Paul Otte was the organist. Soloist Bobbi Ludewig sang “On Eagle’s Wings” and “From the Day You Were Born.” Congregational hymns were “Amazing Grace” and “Borning Cry.”
Pallbearers were Jalen Johnson, Chaz Froemming, Kayla Bailey, Laurel Wallert, Jessica Artibee and Bethany Towle.
Interment was in the Oakland Cemetery in Hutchinson.
Miranda Desirae Lickfelt was born Oct. 7, 1982, in Hutchinson, the daughter of Craig and Nancy Johnson. She was baptized as an infant at First Lutheran Church in Glencoe, and confirmed in her faith as a youth in 1997 at Peace Lutheran Church in Hutchinson. She was educated in Hutchinson and graduated with the Hutchinson High School class of 2001. She played the clarinet and was a drum majorette in the Hutchinson High School Marching Band.
She furthered her education by attending Ridgewater College in Hutchinson, and received an associate of arts degree in business management in 2008.
On Oct. 5, 2002, she was united in marriage to Michael Lickfelt at Peace Lutheran Church in Hutchinson. Their marriage was blessed with one son, Shayne. The Lickfelts resided in Hutchinson, and shared nearly 12 years of marriage.
Mrs. Lickfelt was employed as an accounts receivable associate at Supervalu in Eden Prairie. She was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Hutchinson. She also was a member of the Little Crow Archery Club in Hutchinson.
Mrs. Lickfelt enjoyed reading, scrapbooking and archery. She loved music and collected Barbie dolls. She also enjoyed going to the movies, and was never without her cell phone. She had two cats, Izzy and Cami, whom she dearly loved. Most important to her were her husband, son, and spending time with family and friends.
She was diagnosed with breast cancer on May 13, 2011.
She is survived by her husband, Michael Lickfelt of Hutchinson; son, Shayne Lickfelt of Hutchinson; father, Craig Johnson and his special friend, Patricia Hanrahan, of Hutchinson; mother, Nancy Bjerke and her husband, Michael, of Montevideo; brothers, Jalen Johnson of Hutchinson and Chaz Froemming of Dassel; sister, Kayla Bailey of Hutchinson; grandmothers, Betty Johnson of Hutchinson and Janice Lunde of Port St. Lucie, Fla.; grandparents, Steve and Virginia Jerabek of Lester Prairie, Mel and Jean Fasching of Glencoe and Ordell and Betty Akre of St. Joseph, Mo.; niece, Rhian Tucker of Hutchinson; aunts; uncles; cousins; and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Myron Johnson, Kenneth Lynne and Roy Lund; stepmother, Becca Johnson; father-in-law, Donald Lickfelt; and brothers-in-law, Jason Lickfelt and Matthew Lickfelt.
