The Panthers’ volleyball falls short against the Royals

The Glencoe-Silver Lake varsity volleyball team had a tough opponent as they faced off against Watertown-Mayer (WM) last week.
The team played at WM last Wednesday, Oct. 21, and lost the match in four. GSL lost the first set 25-18, the second set 25-14, won the third 26-24 and lost the fourth 25-20. The Panthers went up against the Royals the next day at home, and the competition was still too difficult. GSL lost three by losing the first set 25-16, the second 30-28 and the third 25-21.

Upcoming:
The Panthers went up against the Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted Lakers Tuesday, Oct. 27 at Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted High School. Scores were not available at the time The Chronicle went to press.
The two teams will face off again this Thursday, Oct. 29 at 7 p.m. for GSL’s third home game of the season.
The Panthers will play another home game next Monday, Nov. 2, against New London-Spicer at 7 p.m.
