Pat Melvin attends final board meeting

McLeod County Administrator Patrick Melvin attended his last official county board meeting Tuesday morning.
Melvin, who has been the county administrator since 2008, recently accepted a job with the city of Arlington as its new city administrator.
McLeod County Board Chair Joe Nagel thanked Melvin for his years of service at the close of Tuesday morning’s meeting.
Prior to the board’s regular meeting, it had met in a workshop session to discuss how administrative duties will be handled after Melvin leaves. He starts his new job with the city of Arlington on Nov. 6.
Nagel said discussions regarding the position will continue at the board’s Nov. 7 meeting.
