Paul Anderle, Rich Valley Township

Paul Joseph Anderle, 91, died Sunday, Nov. 16, 2014, at his home in Rich Valley Township.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held Thursday, Nov. 20, at Holy Family Catholic Church in Silver Lake.
Honorary pallbearers were Megan Anderson, Isaac Nass, Kirsten Anderson and Paul Nass. Pallbearers were Julie Havelka, Mike Havelka, Lisa Riebe, Jennifer Forcier, Jeffrey Havelka, Ron Maresh, Myron Dvorak and Harvey Dvorak. Interment was in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
Paul Joseph Anderle was born April 28, 1923, the son of Joseph and Anna (Cacka) Anderle. He grew up in Rich Valley Township and attended school in Silver Lake.
On June 25, 1945, he married Edna Ellis at St. George Catholic Church in Glencoe. They were able to share 67 years of marriage before Mrs. Anderle’s death in January 2013.
Mr. Anderle was a lifelong dairy and crop farmer into his 80s on the Anderle farmstead in Rich Valley Township. He will be remembered as a man with a big heart, strong Catholic faith, perseverance for hard work and dedication to his family. He enjoyed listening to and dancing to old-time polkas and was an avid Green Bay Packer fan (he never missed watching a game on TV). He liked to recall past stories about his childhood or farming, which his family was eager to hear.
He is survived by his children, Marlene (Don) Havelka of Glencoe, Paul Anderle Jr. of Silver Lake, Betty (Roger) Steele of Spicer, Judy (Ralph) Anderson of Willmar, Mary (Randy) Nass of Dassel and Nancy (Tom) Humlicek of Silver Lake; grandchildren, Julie, Mike, Lisa, Jennifer, Jeffrey, Megan, Kirsten, Isaac and Paul; step-grandchildren, Nancy and Jason; great-grandchildren, Brittany, Chelsea, Ashley, Trevor and Braden; stepgreat-grandchildren, McKenzie and Blaine; brother-in-law, Edwin Ellis; and sister-in-law, Bernice Ellis.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Edna (Jan. 24, 2013); and sisters, Eleanor Maresh, Agnes Dvorak and Mabel Kotkan.
The Maresh Funeral Home in Silver Lake handled the arrangements. Online condolences can be made at www.mareshfuneralhome.
